The Kildare Steiner Waldorf School is an independent, multi-denominational and co-educational school situated in the rolling countryside
of County Kildare, bordering on County Wicklow.
The aim of Steiner Waldorf education is to inspire in each student
a lifelong love of learning and to enable them to fully develop their unique capacities. It offers a curriculum tailored to your child’s
needs and stage of development and focuses on educating the whole child—balancing academic, artistic and practical learning. There
is an emphasis on 21st century skills such as independent thinking, self-confidence, resourcefulness and creativity, along with small
class sizes, a very positive peer group and inspiring teachers.
In the eighty years since it was first developed, Steiner Waldorf education has become the largest independent educational movement worldwide.
The Kildare Steiner Waldorf School is one of more than 1000 schools and 1600 kindergartens and early childhood centres throughout the world.
The school is dependent
on fees and fundraising to cover its running costs. However, in contrast to other state-funded or private schools, there are no ‘voluntary
contributions’ or uniform costs and all text books and materials are provided by the school.
The last information morning for prospective parents before the summer holidays will take place on a Saturday morning in June from 10am to 12 noon – date to be confirmed shortly.
To ensure a place, please email or telephone the school beforehand.
